When are the Best Times to go?

For beginner surfers: June to September.
For advanced & expert surfers:   April to July & September to November.

What should I Bring?

Bring your own surf gear or use ours (learner boards and wetsuits)
We provide all accommodation, meals, snacks, booze (for those of age) and transportation.
So you only need:- your clothes, sunscreen and a headlamp or torch.

Where do I have to get to?

Tatchu Adventures launchpad is in Gold River, on the central Pacific West Coast of Vancouver Island.
From here we take you by floatplane or high speed boat transport to Plumper Harbour. Then 4WD to Beano Creek Eco Surf Village.
Tatchu Adventures can arrange all your travel needs.

What is the schedule for transfer to Beano Creek?

We depart Gold River at 10 AM on Day 1,(usually Sunday) and arrive back at Gold River at 1 PM on the last Day of your package (usually Friday).

I want to bring my own surf gear?

Tatchu Adventures provides learner surfboards and wetsuits with the Easy Rider, Learn to Surf package.
Wetsuits and a limited range of boards for other packages.

For ALL packages you are welcome to bring your own gear - just let us know what and how much, for floatplane transportation.

This is Wilderness !!

There are no Polar Bears but we do have Island Black Bears and Wolves. Tatchu Adventures has strict Safety Procedures to ensure you enjoy your stay.

  What should I Expect?

We'll likely have you standing on the first day but if not, our 6 day trips with instruction whenever needed, allows plenty of time, in the most relaxed environment, to get the hang of how to surf or to improve your style. See what others have experienced

Take a breather from work for a quick 6 day trip to a magical place that will take you back 100 years in time and away from the crowds of the cities and towns. Discover the satisfaction of a healthy diet and a solid ocean workout. Be on your own with nature and the waves, free to learn without the intimidation of crowds.

The Fine Print:

 * Payment:
When confirming reservation - 25% deposit - non-refundable.
(In unforeseen circumstances, prior to Full Payment, you may
book alternative dates within 12 months of original payment.)

Full Payment required 4 weeks prior to departure - non-refundable.

 * Insurance:
The wilderness is an unforgiving and dangerous environment.

Tatchu Adventures strongly advises all travellers to obtain Travel
Insurance for their stay at Beano Creek, or any Tatchu expedition.

All travellers will be required to sign a waiver absolving Tatchu Adventures
of any liability for accidents or misadventures resulting in harm, injury or
death to themselves, other customers or staff.

  * Refunds:
There are no refunds due to weather or insufficient swell.
