AREAS
The surf pumps during Spring and Fall. August can be flatter due to North American high pressure - great for learners.
"I don't think words can describe this experience. The surf, the sun, the canyon, the food everything was truly amazing. And, even more importantly, the new friendships will never be forgotten. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to live for every moment."
- Jill Gelinas. Ontario
The HESQUIAT Peninsula
Secluded beaches, a variety of great surf spots and a coastal hiking trail, the Hesquiat Peninsula is a scenic surf location. A totally remote area on one side and a small native village on the other, the Hesquiat Peninsula is accessible by boat from Tahsis. The Peninsula's profile allows it to catch most swell directions.
The BROOKS Peninsula
A spectacular ecological reserve area and provincial Park, the Brooks is a wavemagnet with consistent offshore mountain downdrafts. Spectacular white sand beaches, cobble stone points, river mouth and reef breaks, give surfers many options. This area is totally remote and boat access is the only way there. You will see bald eagles, black bears, grey whales, sea lions and many other wild animals. Natural coastal trails allow you to explore 15 km of coastline where you will find old native village sites, glass balls, sea caves, spectacular rivers and massive spruce trees.
